Story of a Titan…

The year was 2020, and a global pandemic had confined everyone to their homes. Live shows and other events had been placed on hold. Nick was just trying to work with the podcasters to keep episodes coming out while balancing their own mental health. This portion of the story should be longer because so much happened in the world, but for Titan, it was a matter of keeping everyone afloat.

We made it through 2020 with a few less shows but with a group of people determined to get back on the attack. Nick had to figure out how to take things to the next level. With the interest in video game streaming at an all-time high, Nick thought it was time to open Titan up to all forms of content creators. He pulled a group of his peers together to hammer out this new vision for Titan, and over the next few weeks, they pulled together the pieces to form the Titan Media Collective.

Nick, Kelly Geraty, Mike Hill, and Jess Keller-Poole worked on bringing in a group of streamers with a similar vision: growth, collaboration, and community. We continued growing and building our network of creators while hosting events and collaborative opportunities to help our creators branch out and reach new people. Throughout 2021 and 2022, we continued growing and evolving our content, leading to the creation of TitanTV in the fall of 2022.

TitanTV is an initiative with the mission of combining the shared event-like experience of watching one of your favorite shows simultaneously each week while being able to communicate with other fans in the process. Season 1 was a hit, with four shows spanning various topics. We were building a new movement and plan to continue doing so with season 2 in the fall of 2023.

In 2023, as our content evolved to new levels, we felt it was time for Titan to evolve. We gave our branding a new look, and we have a stronger vision for our creators and content moving into this next phase of Titan. We will be expanding our range of content types while improving the quality of some of our fan favorites. Naturally, none of this is possible without the support of our fans. Some joined us from one of their favorite creators, others from events we’ve done. Our fans have found homes in new communities with creators they found from one of our collaborations.

We know that people have more than one interest, and our mission is to provide content and community for every eye and ear.

Sincerely,

The Titan Team: Nick Brose, Kelly Geraty, and Mike Hill

Nick Brose was in the process of working a job he hated, selling cars, and needed an outlet. He got together with a friend who remained nameless on the show and shall remain nameless now to launch a podcast called It Could Be Worse. The idea was to take people’s unlucky or just plain bad situations and shed some light on them by discussing ways they could have gone worse.

The show grew quickly, and Nick brought other growing podcasters to collaborate and cross-promote. With a background in audio engineering and networking through the Music Industry Program at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, Nick had an idea to try and bring other growing podcasters together to use the same model he used with his show.

The TitanCast Podcast Network, inspired by Nick’s time as an Oshkosh Titan, had been born with the mission to bring podcasters together to help them grow through organic methods. He also wanted to be able to provide tools, resources, and help to these podcasters that they may not have had access to on their own. The network launched with six shows from across the country and grew quicker than Nick had anticipated. Within a year, one of the podcasts had performed two sold-out shows in Texas. Things were powering forward until a global catastrophe put it all on hold…
